This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Argentina is a very good value. It opens with pineapple and pink grapefruit bouquet with hints of lemon-lime. On the palate, this wine is light bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is bright, rounded and refreshing. The flavor profile is a lemon tea and saline blend with notes of chalky minerality and green apple. I also detected hints of white pepper and lime. The finish remains refreshing. Hence, this is a very nice summer,
The 2022 Chardonnay Reserva hails from the Uco Valley. It aged in 50% French oak barrels and the rest in steel tanks. Yellow in hue. The nose features green apple and pear as well as linden blossom, vanilla and cedar against a pastry backdrop. Both creamy and taut, the palate is quite buttery and refreshing. A well-made Chard that over-delivers at this price point.
