Intense peppery nose of ripe red and dark fruit, cured meat, dried rose hips, cedar and hints of tar. Full-bodied, structured and nicely framed with firm, compact tannins. Broad and textural, with delicious, succulent fruit underneath. Long and balanced
The nose is primarily sweet, with notes of coconut, plum and berry compote, but an undertone of wild herbs provides balance. On the palate, every aroma escalates and turns more savory, calling to mind pork roasted with plums and herbs. Broad tannins give the wine an overall exuberance.
Made with Cabernet Sauvignon that sees 24 months in barrique, the Tenuta di Nozzole 2018 Il Pareto is a wine of depth and largesse. It awards thickly extracted fruit flavors of black plum with earth, tobacco and cured leather. Fruit comes from a nine-hectare vineyard site. This is a full-bodied red to pair with hearty Tuscan meat dishes and a side of delicious white beans.
Full-bodied, but very in-check, with tannins that blend in and so much linear fruit and clarity. Currants and bitter chocolate with some cedar. Just a baby. Pure cab.
