This is a sparkling wine with a serious side. Bready notes fill the nose including freshly-baked brioche, bread dough, yogurt, marmalade and lemon peel. The palate is fresh and effusive with notes of development that impart depth. A great find if you can score a bottle

A precise, succulent and textural Saumur with notes of apples, ripe pears and sweet spices. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity. Bright and agile, with fine bubbles and a focused finish of excellent length. Drink or hold.

Baguette and Anjou pear, a drizzle of honey and a minerally streak pair up nimbly on the nose of this polished blend of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay, joined by delicate citrus that also informs the texture of the palate—where yellow peach, both flesh and skin, and mouthwatering acidity come into play before the high-toned finish

Sliced apples, grapefruit, pears and biscuits on the nose. It’s balanced and fruit-forward with a medium body, bright acidity and soft bubbles. Easygoing

A blend of Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay, the 2019 Brut Saphir has an intense and assertive mousse. It fills the mouth while the texture is light and airy. With additional time on lees compared with the straight Crémant styles, there’s an added layer of complexity and autolytis-derived pastry richness alongside freshly cooked apple fruit.
