Intriguing, spicy and savory, offering a smoky, sanguine profile, with subtle notes of wild berries and red currant overshadowed by flavors of smoke, toast, charred herbs and shaved graphite. Alpine herbal freshness adds a new dimension, with green herb oil and mocha hints echoing on the medium-length finish
This salty and earthy red shows real charm, with tugs of tar and hummus revealing modest notes of cherry and singed incense. A sanguine meatiness runs from beginning to end in this simmering, savory version, offering a tangy close, with menthol freshness chiming in at the end.
This very dark ruby colored Gamay from the Moulin-à-Vent commune opens with a potting soil and raspberry bouquet with hints of violet and a touch of banana. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, voluptuous, generous, and very bright. The flavor profile is a red currant and loam blend with notes tart cherry and oolong tea. I also did detect some hints of red plum and banana in the aftertaste. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended.
Pretty hazelnut and chocolate complexity to the ripe red and dark berry fruit. It’s rich and juicy with a medium body and a broad, ripe tannin frame. Deep and delicious.
Meaty and smoky undertones to this rich and full-bodied Moulin-a-Vent. Swathes of dark berry fruit, mocha and spice box are wrapped up in firm and chalky tannins. Long and powerful
