Grapevines at our Suscol Springs estate are planted amid rocky outcroppings that overlook the valley floor. The effort to develop roots in these rocky soils creates a beneficial stress that causes vines to yield smaller berries of great concentration, balanced acidity, and supple tannins. This vineyard also experiences warm, sunny days and cool breezes—perfect conditions for ripening Cabernet Sauvignon to beautiful varietal expression.

Harvest Note
In 2021, the season began with significant rainfall, preparing the soils for an exceptional season. Overall, summertime temperatures were moderate across Napa Valley which allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and evenly before the harvest.
Tasting Note
Aromas of black cherry, boysenberry, and blackberry are complemented with hints of violets and a stony minerality. On the palate, this Cabernet reveals rich flavors of blackberry, leather, and green peppercorn, all supported by velvety tannins.
