Friuli is an ideal region for growing white grapes. It is protected by the Alps to the North and receives sea breezes from the Adriatic Sea in the South. The favorable conditions were known in Roman times when the region was devoted to winemaking. The gravelly, sandy soil forces the roots of the vine to grow deep in search of water. As the vine struggles, its fruit grows richer, resulting in flavorful wine with remarkable minerality. Handpicked grapes are gently pressed immediately after harvest and undergo a cold-temperature fermentation in stainless steel tanks. As there is no malolactic fermentation or oak aging, the wine is a beautiful expression of the Pinot Grigio grape.

Harvest Note
The 2024 vintage began with persistent rainfall and mild temperature during the winter and spring, slowing down the rise in temperatures until mid-June that delayed the budding of the vine and reducing the size of grape bunches. The end of June and all of July was very hot and sunny with some thunderstorms, ensuring healthy bunches with well-thickened skins of the grapes. August had high temperatures and a total absence of rainfall, leading to early ripening and emergency irrigation to avoid dehydration. Rain returned in the first half of September with a drop in temperatures. Drier and milder weather in the second half of September resulted in healthy grapes being harvested by the first week of October.
Tasting Note
Bright straw yellow with amber hints. The aroma is fruity with delicate notes of banana, pineapple, and acacia blossoms. The wine is dry with great body and balance with an elegant, aromatic finish.
Food Pairing
Vegetable dishes, seafood, grilled chicken, and delicate cheese
