Fourchaume is a large Chablis premier cru, with southeast exposure and typical white soils of Kimmeridgean clay. The wine ferments at controlled temperature in stainless steel tank and ages in both tank and large oak casks.
This was a very warm and early vintage with a slight lack of moisture which reduced the harvest volumes while ensuring complexity and phenolic ripeness
