Falerno del Massico Rosso DOP is obtained from 80% Aglianico and 20% Piedirosso grapes harvested after careful selection in the hilly vineyards of San Castrese estate, on the slopes of Roccamonfina volcano, in the province of Caserta.

Harvest Note
The 2020 season was characterized by a spring with good rainfall although slightly lower than last year. Average temperatures gradually increased values between Spring and Summer. The Summer experienced persistent heat and little precipitation. However, the high temperatures were mitigated by currents from the Roccamonfina Volcano. After mid-September, rainfall in the month amounting to 120 mm was recorded. The plants had a chance to develop a good vegetative wall and worked slowly, bringing the ripening stage to completion later than in recent seasons. This climatic trend favored a good ripening of the grapes both from a sanitary and qualitative point of view with excellent concentrations of aromatic substances in white wines and good alcohol contents and remarkable color intensity in red wines.
Tasting Note
Deep red color with intense and complex aromas of violets, black fruits, cherries, blackberries and raspberries.

Pairs well with oysters, lobster or any seafood-based dishes.
