The Bolgheri DOC, on the western edge of Tuscany bordering the Tirrhenian sea, known for it's exceptional climate is moderated by sea breezes, and the vineyards’ clay and sand soils are ideal for Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Grapes come from densely planted vineyards and low yields, which produce wines with concentration and complexity. Temperature-controlled fermentation is in stainless steel tanks, with maceration on the skins. Malolactic fermentation takes place in steel before the wine is matured in oak barrels and at least three months in bottle before release.
