Jadot’s parcel of the Grand Cru vineyard of Bonnes Mares lies within the commune of Chambolle-Musigny, on steep slopes rising above the village of Chambolle. In this vineyard, the calcium content of the soil is relatively low, making for a more robust wine than Le Musigny, although extremely elegant. The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in vats for up to one month and matured in oak barrels for 18 to 20 months before bottling.
A powerful perfume of violets and red berries leads to fruity richness on a palate laced with subtle tannins. This wine will develop for 15 to 20 years in the bottle.
