The vineyards of the Beaune appellation are the most extensive of the Côte de Beaune. Fruit for this wine comes from throughout the appellation: Red wines from the north are light in color with soft fruit flavors; those from the central and southern areas are powerful, tannic and deeply colored. Grapes are destemmed and fermented in open vats to extract color, aroma and tannins. Individual batches are aged in oak barrels for an average of 18 months before blending.
This medium-bodied wine offers red and black fruit aromas and elegant tannins. It will develop for 8 to 12 years from the vintage.
