Total Wine Exclusive
This is a Cru Beaujolais from a single climate within the Morgon appellation. Corcelette is a site at the edge of Morgon with subsoils of both granite and schist. These conditions tend to result in wines with darker fruit notes, more tannins, and bolder structure. All fruit is manually harvested, rigorously sorted, fermented with natural yeasts, and aged in oak barrels for 10 months.
With hints of clove and blackberry, this medium weight red wine has a bold presence and long finish. The tannins are chewy and will refine with a bit of age, while offering a nice complement to protein-based cuisines.
