The mission of Volcanic Wines International has been to take the leading role in defining and establishing a Volcanic Wine Movement, and to provide educational and promotional opportunities for volcanic wine producers internationally. The 1st and 2nd International Volcanic Wine Conferences (IVWC1 & 2), that took place in 2018 in 2019 and organized by Volcanic Wines International, was the catalyst and facilitator in bringing together the world’s volcanic regions to create a “Volcanic Wine Brand,” defined as a unique category of wines produced under some of the most extreme viticultural conditions on the planet. Volcanic Wines International also plans to establish the volcanic wine brand as a premium category of high quality wines with a true sense of place. The 4th International Volcanic Wine Conference will take place June 18th 2024 at the Altman Building in New York.
