California Classic Sparkling Wines

August 6 @ 11:00 am - 3:30 pm

Trade by invitation only

California’s sparkling wine history is diverse and storied. A mixture of American family founders, such as the Davies with Schramsberg (1965), and the French-owned houses, such as Roederer Estate (1982) and Domaine Carneros by Taittinger (1987), have decades of experience producing “world-class” sparkling wines.

Masterclass, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Arrive 11:00 AM, Starts promptly at 11:30 AM. Limited Seating. These three houses have a signature luxury cuvée, namely Le Rêve, L’Ermitage, and J.Schram, which were created to be the ultimate expressions of top sparkling winemaking in California. Decades in the making, the polish, finesse, depth, and complexity of these domestic tête de cuvées are as extraordinary as any sparkling wines produced in the world. Remi Cohen, Arnaud Weyrich, and Hugh Davies will lead this special tasting of nine vintage cuvées over three decades (1990s, 2000s, and current releases), exploring the evolution of California’s luxury cuvées with moderator Laura Maniec, MS.
