Two Exceptional Families Serving the Terroir Since 1834
Paul Jaboulet Aîné was founded in 1834 by Antoine Jaboulet in Tain l’Hermitage and the Jaboulet family continued to manage the winery until 2006 when it was purchased by the Frey family. Caroline Frey, the current winemaker, took over the management of the house and began its transition to organic and biodynamic farming. The portfolio brings together the most famous terroirs of the Northern Rhône Valley – including the appellations of Côtes du Rhone, Crozes-Hermitage, Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, and Hermitage.
Parallèle 45
Parallèle 45 was created in 1950 and is named after the 45th parallel, a famous circle of latitude that marks the midpoint between the equator and the North Pole. It also passes over the cellars of Paul Jaboulet Aîné. A classic since 1950, Parallèle 45 is celebrated around the globe and is one of France’s most recognizable wines.
