Frédéric Barnier graduated with a degree in Engineering at the Agronomic School of Montpellier and completed his education in 1999 with an Oenologist’s National Diploma.
Following his graduation, he joined “Château de Chassagne-Montrachet” where he undertook various duties that included vineyard management and vinification. In 2004, he took charge of the entire estate and its wine production. Frédéric joined Maison Louis Jadot in March 2010, as Technical Director, under the advisement of Jacques Lardière. Frédéric and Jacques have had the perfect working relationship with a shared vision of winemaking. They have work closely with the joint belief of the Maison Louis Jadot philosophy: no compromise on quality and ever greater control over raw materials.
Currently, Frédéric manages the winemaking team at the facilities in Givry and “La Sablière” in Beaune.
Frédéric Barnier, a native Breton, is 39 years old, married and the father of four children. He enjoys spending time with his family and cooking. In addition to wine, Frédéric has a passion for diving – he is a certified diving instructor.
