The vintage of 2021 began with a mild winter and occasional showers. The sudden return of cold temperatures in March was marked by a frost at the end of the month causing some damage to buds. From mid-April, temperatures increased, and spring began consistently, favoring good flowering and fruit set, stages that occurred between the end of May and the beginning of June. The summer was characterized by overall warmth and dryness without experiencing extreme peaks of heat. September was characterized by above-average temperatures until the last week of the month, a period after which a generally cool and rainy weather was recorded which continued until October.
