Champagne Taittinger Celebrates 19th Annual SAG Awards with Two Celebrity Signed 6-liter Bottles of Brut La Française for SAG Foundation Auction

Celebrities signed two Champagne Taittinger 6-liter bottles of Brut La Française to celebrate 19th Annual SAG Awards and raise funds for the SAG Foundation. Champagne Taittinger, proud sponsor of the 19th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, broadcast live on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, opened the ceremonies with the Taittinger Moment Champagne red carpet toast and closed the show with award winners signing two Methuselahs (6-liter bottles) of Brut La Francaise to be used in the SAG Foundations auctions. One bottle is currently on auction for ten days; the other will be offered during SAG Foundation’s Holiday Auction to be held December 6-16, 2013.

Award-winning actors whose signatures grace the two bottles include: Jennifer Lawrence, Ben Affleck, Tina Fey, Dick Van Dyke, Anne Hathaway, Daniel Day-Lewis, Julianne Moore, Bryan Cranston, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Ed O’Neil, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen, Alec Baldwin, Rory Cochrane, Kerry Bishe, Christopher Denham, Claire Danes, Michelle Dockery, Allen Leech, Amy Nutall, Sophie McShera and Phyllis Logan.

Champagne Taittinger’s own star, Vitalie Taittinger, Artistic Director of Champagne Taittinger co-hosted the red carpet toast and celebrated the evening commenting “Elegance, beauty, and passion define Champagne Taittinger and make the SAG Awards such a dazzling night. The celebrity signed 6-liter bottles can only enhance the experience of enjoying Champagne Taittinger. Knowing that the bottles will be used to raise money for the SAG Foundations work on increasing literacy makes that this awards ceremony that much more inspiring.”

SAG Awards Auctions benefit the SAG Foundation, which funds programs for children’s literacy, BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools) and Storyline Online. The auction also provides emergency relief to union members in economic distress, emergency funds for members with catastrophic illnesses, video and audio preservation of the creative legacy of union members, scholarships for performers and their children, casting seminars and professional workshops. The Foundation also operates The Actors Center and Don LaFontaine Voice-Over Lab. Champagne Taittinger has supported the SAG Foundation and sponsored the SAG Awards for 13 consecutive years and looks for to celebrating the awards 20th anniversary in 2013.
