Located in the commune of Puligny-Montrachet, the center of the four communes comprising the renowned Côte des Blancs, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet has eastern exposure and a chalky soil that is quite heavy on the surface. Chardonnay grapes are fermented in oak barrels and aged an average of 18 months before bottling.
A full-bodied, powerful wine with intense aromas and flavors of fruit, flowers, mushrooms and spices. This wine is more elegant than a Bâtard-Montrachet, with a fine balance between acidity and savor. It is made for aging and will develop 10 to 20 years, even longer in great vintages.
