The commune of Savigny-lès-Beaune is in the north of the Côte de Beaune and produces 90% red wines. La Dominode has an eastern exposure and lies at the southern end of the commune on gravel soils that produce elegant wine. The Pinot Noir grapes are fermented in vats for up to 4 weeks, and then the wine is matured in oak barrels for 12 to 15 months before bottling.
Bright red berry aromas and flavors lead this vivacious wine. It will develop in the bottle for 7 to 10 years.
